What does Cruelty-Free mean? Well, it means very little. The FDA makes such a great point. Even if a brand is able to say, “We don’t test on animals,” that doesn’t mean past ingredients weren’t tested on animals. Basically, a brand knows that the raw materials won’t harm you because the material in the past was ALREADY TESTED ON ANIMALS. That’s why so many brands are able to say not tested on animals. Essentially a loop hole. Pretty sad to think about. That specific eye shadow palette wasn’t tested on animals, but in the past the raw materials were tested on animals, and they already know it’s ok, so they don’t need to test it on them. Telling a brand to go cruelty-free means SO LITTLE. If they already tested, they already know. Which means the thought of the brands “caring about animal rights,” is an absolute load of malarkey. And a marketing ploy.
