Brands come out with new products constantly. Even with the sudden lack of money in the markets and many people still working from home, products are surprisingly still being produced at an alarming rate. As a woman in her 30s, I have started to use nearly the same products every time rarely changing it up unless I receive a deluxe sample and get curious. That being said, I will still be sharing new products, but in a different way. All new product posts will not be shared on the same day and will be spread out to support the idea that new releases shouldn’t be produced so frequently. If I were to share them everyday that tells companies it’s ok to produce so much…too much. The posts will be spread out, so new releases will not be shared the week they came out…or rarely. The standard for a new release will also be increased from within 8 days to within the last 6 months. Brands realistically should not come out with more than 3 new products in a 6 month period and that is being generous.
Use notification: Currently, unless we own the new released product or have seen the product in person, the photo used in the posts are obtained by screenshotting the images on the brands Instagram, newsletter, website, or through affiliate marketing/PR release info. Thus the photos are owned by the brand and are being used for commentary or free (unless otherwise stated) promotion of the product.
Due to lack of posting on my part, products produced in 2022 will be shared outside the 6 month maximum until caught up. If a product is not listed by a brand as a new arrival, I will not be sharing it. As there are so many makeup brands unless I am incredibly familiar with the brand, I cannot easily say if a product is new or not, so I will be relying on the online store of the brand to tell me if it’s new or not.
I will also be sharing the products I may be using in place of the item being shared.
