Look. I’m annoyed at the way they released this collection. I realize this is a bit nitpicky, but the way it was released was as if they didn’t even really care about their own launch. The picture to the left is from their newsletter. Not that the image is bad, it isn’t, but I can’t stand that they didn’t use an image that had all the new products in it. Stila has nice products, but they make it difficult to see that, so people become underwhelmed.
Take the e-mail, for example. The products all have completely different names, and the names aren’t cohesive. I had trouble understanding if those items were even part of the new collection or if they were just added in. Then when I went to the site, I still couldn’t tell which items were part of the collection because even the items in the e-mail weren’t listed next to each other. They should have highlighted the release better by giving the collection it’s own page. Thinking that maybe they prefer to show off on instagram, I headed over there. All they released was a picture of the mascara. I get wanting to space the items out through out the day, but once again, they should have taken a photo of the complete collection.
I can’t tell what makes these items a collection if they aren’t side by side, so it doesn’t create excitement. Makeup is art, but the way they released the collection makes it feel more like an utility.
Due to my frustration, I created my own little collage of what I think are the items in the collection. It took me all of 5 minutes. smh. Seeing it all together, I quite like it. What do you think?

- Nobility Eye Shadow Palette
- Putty Blush & Bronzer Duo
- Save the day eye and lip corrector
- Save the Day Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner
- Stay All Day Mascara
- Plumping Lip Glass
- Would I buy it? Sadly, probably not.
- Would buying it be a good idea for me? Not really
- Why or why not? I think the best product in this collection is the lip and eye corrector. Seems like it would be good for on the go, but since I am not a devout makeup wearer, I just wouldn’t use it. I like the shades of the lip plumpers, but I don’t use those.
The collection is very feminine and feels very springy to me. I don’t see summer in this collection.
