Yesterday, I thought I had the best coupon ever, so I went to the site, created a huge cart, edited it down to perfection, and went to checkout. The coupon didn’t work because I had quickly read the e-mail. Had I read it slower, I would have known its proper use. I wasted several hours putting together and organizing my cart, but even so, I am glad it happened to some extent. Here are the reasons.
Problems in the Past
This is a brand that I have openly expressed the quality at times has been lacking. I refuse to use the skincare as it always breaks me out or irritates my skin. I used to be in love with eye shadow, but I often don’t use it much anymore due to the shape of my eyes. Rarely, can someone even see it. Rarely, can I even see it. But at the time that I started to become concerned with their quality, I was totally addicted to buying from the brand. Their eye shadows just would not last long. Looking back, it may have been occurring because they were rushing out collections over and over. Does that sound familiar?
A ColourPop Saga
I found myself on the ColourPop website with what I thought was the best coupon ever. I haven’t been noticing nearly as many collections, so thinking maybe their items have a better quality, I got to shopping. Their website is the absolute worst now. It’s completely terrible. It’s beyond slow and no matter what browser I use the site freezes up where I can’t even click anything. Maybe they have a ton of java script? It’s garbage on Opera and nearly unusable. On Edge, it is barely better, but still I kept trying because of my amazing coupon. I focused mainly on lip products: lip vaults and sets. I was getting pretty excited until I realized that most of the products I couldn’t even use nor would want to use them.
Lip Problems
ColourPop, why, oh why? Almost all of their lip products fell into one of three categories: plumpling (hell no), contained avocado (why? I’m allergic), or were matte (come on seriously? I don’t like dry lips). So, I had to delete nearly every set and all the vaults.
What I Did Instead
It’s ok. I don’t need so much makeup anyway even though I definitely would have used the lip products. It doesn’t bother me that my coupon code didn’t work. I ended up just buying wholesale from some French beauty companies and Sigma for my business instead! Thus, an urge to buy beauty was better spent on quality items to share with others. If you want to know how much I was going to spend at ColourPop, it was $350 after the coupon I thought I had. I used it on wholesale items instead. Also, got some Boba teas for my Kawaii lovers. I will share when it is all in stock at my shop!
Thanks for reading. ColourPop, dang it, still? Get yourself together.
