In My Cart: Barry M

Alas, sometimes there are situations where you’re trying to buy, but it’s just not working out. I received (through newsletter – no, I’m not special) a coupon code for 50% off my purchase. The code was to last 30 days, but for some reason when I got to checkout it said it didn’t exist. Needless to say, I was a bit bummed. Perhaps, it was a code meant for someone in the UK, but being that shipping was going to cost £25, I was in need of this coupon. Ah darn, the deals off. So, here I am sharing with you a what’s in my cart since I won’t be buying these things any time soon for the reasons listed above.

An explanation of my choices: When I go to new restaurants, depending on the type of food, I always get the same thing. I do this in a “if they can’t get this item right, are they worth going back to?” sort of way. Like going to a new Mexican food restaurant and getting a cheese enchilada. If they can’t do that right, do I really want to pay for an item more expensive in the future? Do I really want to go back?

This can also be said for trying a new makeup brand. I like to buy similar items that are go tos from other brands that are tried and true. Obsessed Matte Lip Paint is essentially a shade of rose. A similar shade to which my lips all ready are…so a bit difficult to mess up. Then a waterproof mascara, another of my go tos for the simple fact that I cry for a numerous amount of reasons and no one ever knows when I just might “jump in.” (Live your life people.)

The makeup eraser pen for the simple fact that it intrigues me and would be a great product to review. Lastly, a WILDLIFE Charity Palette in the bee shades. Save the bees, y’all.

I have a strong connection to bees. I worked on an orange grove for a summer and found myself in a store with no other workers. There were many bee hives at another farm to harvest honey, so I often would find myself surrounded by bees. I would talk to the bees, and I got to the point where I could stick my hand into a bucket of water filled with bees and none would attack me. Bees are amazing. They learn and recognize. I have never been stung by a bee, and they are so important for our planet. 20% of the net profits goes to the People’s Trust of Endangered Specifies.
