BH Cosmetics Flower Power
Flower Power – When I saw this collection, I got wide eyed! I absolutely love it! It’s so cohesive.
- Would I buy it? I’m thinking about
- Would buying it be a good idea for me? Probably not
- Why or why not? It wouldn’t be a good idea because I just made a purchase from MAC and Fenty. I got such a good deal from Fenty, too! Click Fenty Beauty tangent below to see more about my awesome Fenty Beauty ordering experience. Because of that I really shouldn’t buy anything from anywhere right now, but I love the palette and the brush set.
- It’s so tempting to pick them up because they are so affordable, but let’s break down the palette to determine if it’s worth it.
- At first glance, it has nearly every color (except green) that I like on my eyes. However, to be fair to other palettes I have recently criticized, half the palette appears to be brown or tan or a slight golden color. So cut that palette in half and call it flower power.
- Yes, I would use those browns and tans, but I don’t need them. I have them. So what’s left? Purple, blue, and pink. I will never use purple and blue, though I really wish purple looked good on me. Unfortunately, that brings it down to only three shades I would actually be excited to try.
- Sounds like I won’t be buying it
- Now for the brush set. I really like the bag and the brush style, but I would only use three of the brushes because I apply face makeup with my hands since I don’t do full coverage.

Guess I won’t be buying anything. I recommend that you also try this method when deciding if you should buy a makeup item. It can either convince you it’s ok to buy it or convince you to opt out.
Fenty Beauty tangent: I bought two palettes and a lipstick for $40 including shipping 0_0 It was basically a dream come true. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I love Rhianna. Her music and who she seems to be. In some ways, I really understand her. Mainly for personal reasons I don’t want to discuss here. So, needless to say, I always wanted to try her makeup brand.
I love makeup brands that let you use multiple discounts. Eye shadow palettes are $25 each, but they had a 2 for $45 deal. The lipstick is normally $18, and I got it for $9. That’s $54, but then I had a 30% off friends and family sale coupon (current discount is 25% off – it pays to be subscribed to nearly every makeup newsletter I come across). Takes me down to $37.80. With that, I still qualified for free shipping. With taxes it came out to $40.73. Then I used Afterpay, so I only had to pay $10ish at the time of purchase.
